How to remove a username from Skype sign-in window

Skype doesn’t have an option in settings to not remember the user on a particular computer. So if you want to stop appearing on the dropdown box in Skype main sign-in window and remove the skype username, read the tutorial below.

How to delete a username from Skype sign-in window

For Skype 5.0 version

1. Log Off
2. Open a windows folder and paste %appdata%, then click on the Skype folder
3. Open the file shared (which is a xml file) with notepad
4. Remove the string that is within the tags string
5. Save the file
6. Once you shut down the skype log in window, you will notice that your username has been removed from the dropdown box

For Older Versions

1. Log Off
2. Open a windows folder and paste %appdata%, then click on the Skype folder
3. Remove completely the username folder
