How to Install Skype 5.0 for Windows
- Download Skype here.
- Save the skype setup application to a known specified folder in your computer.
- Open the folder and double click on SkypeSetup file
- Follow the wizard install tutorial, and configure your language settings.
- Skype main window should open automatically the first time, allowing you to sign in or register.
You are over estimating the starting knowledge of (certainly this) potential customer.
I know Skype is a form of communication. My son has just gone to New Zealand and he has suggested I get a Skype account in order to communicate. Is it voice/video communication or is it another form of email/facebook communication whereby you just type your messages to each other? What equipment do I need. There are no speakers on my computer and no webcam. Are these things I need?
I can find info on band widths, trillian and all sorts of other stuff that is of no use. Can someone please just explain what it is and what I need?
