  3. Third important alternative, if your contact was imported from your address book, you must then erase that contact through Apple’s own addres book app.

    This is simply not true for Version 5.1.0.935. Delete is not one of the options under the first method (though Block ____ is sometimes an option).

    The Contacts menu has Delete Contact… greyed out.

    The Delete key has no response because when you click on a contact, you are immediately in the Chat field.

    So I have not found a way to delete a contact.
