If you are one of the few that want to set their email address as public in their profile, there’s bad news, Your email will never be displayed, and there’s no option to change the status from private to public or viceversa, it’s always set in private. However, if someone that has your exact email address and want to look it up in Skype search, it will always be able to find you, if you are actually using that email. You are not allowed to change your Skype name either.
How to change your Profile settings other than your email on Skype
- Skype > Profile > Edit Your Profile
- From there, you will notice that the email option is greyed out, but it can sill be changed to a new one, if you do that, you will avoid keep getting contacted by users that already have it.
I have been paying a Skype account for 1 year through credit card I have not used Skype since my laptop contacted a virus and I lost all my info including Skype email address and password I cannot access any Skype site to cancel my account .I have paid over $100 and have not used the Skype site . They continue to access my account and take money from it and I can’t cancel.is this illegal can I be reimbursed .how do I take legal action
